Objectives of the Course

Gelir Dağılımı ve Yoksulluk dersi, gelir dağılımının tarihsel ve kuramsal çerçevesini, ölçüm yöntemlerini ve uluslararası karşılaştırmaları ele alır. Ders kapsamında öğrenciler, eşitsizlik ve yoksulluğun nedenlerini, göstergelerini ve sosyal politika araçlarını öğrenir; gelir ve yoksullukla ilgili ampirik verileri analiz eder. Ayrıca küreselleşme, dijitalleşme ve sürdürülebilir kalkınma çerçevesinde gelir eşitsizliği ve yoksullukla mücadele stratejilerini tartışır.

Course Content

The Income Distribution and Poverty course addresses the historical and theoretical framework of income distribution, measurement methods, and international comparisons. Within the scope of the course, students learn about the causes, indicators, and social policy instruments related to inequality and poverty; they analyze empirical data on income and poverty. In addition, the course explores strategies for combating income inequality and poverty within the context of globalization, digitalization, and sustainable development.
