Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce the instruments and institutions of the money and capital markets, which have an important place in the economy, and to reveal how these markets work. Another aim of this course is to reveal the problems in these markets and the solutions to these problems.

Course Content

Some key topics to be covered in the course are as follows: financial liberalization, financial markets and their place in the economy, risk management, asymmetric information, financial market crises and related regulations.

1.Students will be able to understand the general concepts of financial markets.
2.Students will have knowledge about the functioning, instruments and institutions of financial markets.
3.Students are able to comprehend risks in the financial markets and the effects of these risks to financial markets and the real sector.
4.Students are able to trace financial markets in the world and in Türkiye.
5.Students will be able to teveal the interaction between financial behavior and macroeconomic indicators.
