Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce the methods, instruments, and institutions used in foreign trade financing and to enable students to understand the financial dimension of international trade transactions. It also aims to equip students with the knowledge to manage risks and apply financing techniques, payment and delivery methods, and government supports effectively.

Course Content

This course comprehensively covers the financing methods used in international trade operations. Topics include delivery and payment methods, national and international support mechanisms, alternative financing techniques such as leasing, factoring, and forfaiting, Turkish Eximbank practices, and the role of free zones in trade financing. Theoretical knowledge is reinforced through practical case studies.
