Objectives of the Course

To determine the basic concepts of the economy, the functioning of the economy, the economic problems faced by households, companies and countries, to teach analytical thinking about these problems and to gain the ability to analyze related issues.

Course Content

Basic economic concepts, markets, price theory, elasticities, consumption and production theories, production costs, macroeconomic concepts, national income, employment, money events and banking system

Learning Outcomes
1.Will be able to define and analyze basic economic concepts.

4.To be able to comprehend the relations between producer costs, producer selling price, profit maximization and output.
5.To be able to comprehend the functions of macro concepts in an economy such as national income, inflation, employment
6.Will be able to explain the differences between macroeconomics and microeconomics.
7.To be able to understand the phenomena of growth and development, welfare
8.To be able to understand the structure of the consumer's budget and the concept of consumer benefit.
9.Will be able to analyze producer and consumer equilibrium
