Objectives of the Course

The core of this course is to provide general knowledge about water, determination of irrigation water quality, writing irrigation water report and making suggessions. In addition, General assesment of Turkey’s water.

Course Content

Physical properties of water; pH, soluble total salt concentration as irrigation water quality parameters, cations in irrigation water; anions in irrigation water; classification of irrigation water; General properties of Turkey’s rivers and lakes.

Learning Outcomes
1.On completion of this course students will be able to: identify general properties of water and irrigation water quality parameters.
2.Will be able to make analysis of irrigation water for determination water quality and assessment result of analysis.
3.Will be able to write an irrigation water report and interpret and make suggestions about report.
4.Will be able to make interpretations about quality of Turkey’s water.
5.Learn the water potential of Turkey
