Objectives of the Course

Teaching the soil reactions under physical effects within their usage areas and their technological properties.

Course Content

The main components of soils, soil structure and structure types, soil dynamic properties, consistency, soil compaction and soil management in compacted soils , consolidation, stress-strain relations and soil strength, soil slope stability, engineering properties and classification of soils, clay minerals in soils, soil-agricultural equipment relationships, tillage techniques and their related problems.

Learning Outcomes
1.Can evaluate the dynamic reactions that may occur in the soil during the processing of soil.
2.Can obtain information about the technological properties and intended uses of soils and use them in their professional life.
3.Can interpret the relationship between physical and engineering properties of soils and soil mechanics and technology.
4.Can understand the basic principles of Soil Mechanics and Technology and offer solutions to mechanical problems of soils.
5.List the forces acting on soils and their counter reactions.
