The aim of this course is to provide a broad introduction to the discipline of Landscape Architecture including its definition, context and interests as well as its relationships with related disciplines.
Providing definitions and classifications of of landscape, introducing the interests of Landscape Architecture and the scales at which it operates; providing the basic history of the Landscape Architecture profession; familiarising students with landscape planning and landscape design processes and exploring its relationships with related planning, designing and engineering professions.
