Objectives of the Course

In this course, providing the skill of using economics in seafood enterprize management is aimed. The targets of the course include understanding the basic economic principles and concepts of administration, learning the business planning, efficiency and performance criteria and evaluation for aquaculture enterprizes as well as being able to analyze and evaluate the important accounting data in aquaculture and fisheries enterprizes.

Course Content

Introduction to business economy and implementation to aquaculture sector, business classifications, basic principles in management, making decision, law of substitution, law of diminishing returns, co-marginal revenue principle, planning in aquaculture enterprizes, efficiency, balance sheet in aquaculture companies, calculations of income and expenditure statements, interpretations of these analyzed tables, Net farm income in the aquaculture business accounts, Gross and net output, businesses and entrepreneurs profit calculation, productivite, profitability, production costs
