Objectives of the Course

This course aims to gain knowledge and skill on the prevention of illnesses, health promotion of the child 0-6 ages, and also on health assesment and the appropriate midwifery interventions of sick infants 0-28 days.

Course Content

The problems of newborn health in Turkey and in the World, preventing accidental injury and care of injured child, assesment of child health, immunization during childhood ages, nutritional needs, care of the child 0-6 ages during illness and hospitalization, midwifery care of the high risk newborn and family, midwifery care of the child and family with respiratory disfunction, newborn nutrition, assesment and care of high risk newborn.
