Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to examine the stages of group formation and to provide information about leadership characteristics and skills, mobilizing a group, communicating within a group and connecting to the group.

Course Content

General information is given about the group definition, basic characteristics, communication within the group, norm formation in the group, commitment to the group, the importance of leadership on the group and group dynamics.

1.Explains the concepts of group, crowd and community and knows the differences between them.
2.Provides information about role and status within the group.
3.Explain the concepts of group communication, group cohesion and norm establishment in the group.
4.Explain what group dynamics are.
5.Can explain basic concepts about leadership in a group and know leadership models and types.
