Objectives of the Course

In this course, students will have the basic knowledge about the nursing care of individuals with neurological disorders.

Course Content

Neurology Nursing course, neuro-vascular, degenerative, infectious and other acute and chronic problems, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, covers topics related to the care and education.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to memorise nervous system anatomy and physiology
2.To be able to explain diagnostic tests used in patients with neurological illnesses, preperation of the patient and responsibilities of the nurse in this regard.
3.To be able to list symptoms, etiology, pathophysiology , diagnostic criteria, cure and approaches to rehabilitation of frequently encountered neurological disorders
4.To be able to understand the importance of nursing care in accordance with the nursing process by diagnosing the neurological patient and using the data he/she obtained
5.To be able to understand the importance of the identification of training needs of individuals with neurological disease
