The aim of the Parasitology course is to teach the parasites that cause disease in humans and society, the biology of these parasites, their transmission routes, clinical effects, and prevention and treatment approaches.
This course covers the basic characteristics, modes of transmission, clinical manifestations, and prevention and treatment approaches for parasitic diseases that affect human health. The course introduces fundamental concepts such as parasite, host, vector, and symbiotic relationships, and covers the biology, life cycles, and pathogenesis mechanisms of common parasitic species. Students learn diagnostic methods, laboratory approaches, and their correlation with clinical presentations of parasitic diseases. It also focuses on clinical management, nursing care, infection control, and prevention strategies for parasitic infections.
