Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach dynamic systems and stochastic discrete events' basic concepts and methods for simulation modelling and reinforcing by the practice followed in ARENA environment with a simulation language.

Course Content

Monte Carlo random number generators, Borwni the dynamics, Metropolis method, Microcanonical Monte Carlo methods, canonical ensemble Monte Carlo methods, isothermal and isobaric Monte Carlo methods.

Learning Outcomes
1.Defines the basic concepts of simulation modeling.
2.Generates random variables with random numbers for simulation modelling.
3.Analyzes and modells the queuing systems.
4.Students will be able to establish and interpret simulation models for different systems with theoretical knowledge of topics such as collection and analysis of input data, model validation and validity testing, statistical analysis of model outputs.
5.Students can recognize and solve simple and complex simulation models by using Microsoft EXCEL and plug-ins, SIMAN simulation language and ARENA simulation package program.
