The purposes of this course are informing students about the need of information and information search behaviour and instrusturing them about basic concepts about information behaviour and explaining the internal and external reasons that effect students' information search behaviour, describing the information search behaviours of different groups and the features of information using features.

The need of information, information search behaviours, the factors that constitutes and effects the information search behavior, related theories and models, the features of information search behaviour of different groups, the user searches, the fields of application, efficient information search strategies, the internet technologies and changing information searching strategies.
