Objectives of the Course

Teaching concepts and processes to understand and manage supply chains, academic knowledge required for supply chain network design and supply chain strategies It is provided.

Course Content

Basic concepts of supply chain management, customer value in the supply chain and supply chain strategies, supply chain processes, supply chain network design, supply chain logistics operations and Benefit-Cost Analysis, uncertainty in the supply chain and inventory management, information management and technologies, supply chain integration and collaboration in supply chain management, performance management and SCOR Model in the supply chain, risk management in the supply chain, sustainability and supply chain management, current issues in the supply chain.

Learning Outcomes
1.Will be able to relate their theoretical knowledge on logistics and supply chain management with real processes.
2.Will gain pre-experience on the interrelations and interactions among related logistics functions and among internal and external parties taking part in the scope of a company’s supply chain.
3.Will be able to improve their skills on enhancing the logistics processes, realizing problems or taking necessary actions.
4.Will be able to learn the organizational structure and main concepts practically through the applications realized as well as be informed and experienced on some key issues like management, analysis, decision making, strategy and system development.
5.Will be informed and experienced on reporting techniques and on the importance of effective and accurate reporting at all logistics processes.
