Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach soil-water-climate relationship, determination of soil moisture, energy of soil water, soil moisture curves, Soil water holding capacity and availability of water for plants., Factors affecting on water and nutrient movement in soil and absorption by roots. , Water potentials in plants, Water movement within plants, Plant-environment relationships,

Course Content

Some physical charceteritics of soil, soil texture and structure, soil compaction, soil moisture amount and measurement of soil moisture, soil moisture charecteristic curves, kapillar water movement, relationship between soil water and plant growth
