Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course, students in their professional careers, work in fields they encounter in the field of agricultural mechanization applications to analyze electronic circuits is to provide the basic information needed to be able to use. Although students in the areas of agricultural, electrical and electronic devices and equipment which is to gain the ability to use.

1.Understanding the different types of electric motors and to choose the appropriate one for agricultural work
2.Determining of appropriate lamp and their characteristics of electrical lighting applications in agricultural buildings.

Week 1 - Theoretical
Course description, explanation of topics, activities, evaluation methods and the functioning.
Week 2 - Theoretical
The importance of electric energy, scope of agricultural electrification and its situation in Turkey. The criteria for determining of agricultural electrification levels.
Week 3 - Theoretical
The used methods in the production of electrical energy.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Electric energy transmission from supply network to the agricultural area. The transformers used in agricultural electrification and to determine of the necessary transformers power. The conductors, electric poles and insulators used in outside installation.
Week 5 - Theoretical
The types of electric motors and their useage in agricultural area.
Week 6 - Theoretical
To choice of electric motors for agricultural electrification. To reduce the blind power in electric motor circuits. Maintenance, breakdowns and repairs of electric motors
