The objective of this course is to introduce the basics of continuous wave modulation and types of analog communication techniques. The effects of noise on analog modulation techniques will be covered as well.
Introduction to modulation; Amplitude modulation, sideband amplitude modulation; Time and frequency division multiplexing; AM radio broadcasting; Angle modulation, spectral characteristics of angle-modulated signals, implementation of angle modulators and demodulators; Effects of noise on analog communication systems.
