Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide students principles of ac machines design: modeling, operation and testing of induction motors and speed control, synchronous machine operation.

Course Content

Electromagnetic fields created by AC electric machine windings, emf induced in a winding. Equivalent circuit, steady-state analysis and speed control of induction machines. Equivalent circuit, steady-state analysis and stability of synchronous machines. Single-phase induction machines.
