Objectives of the Course

The level of the course is C1. The aim of the course is to improve the skills of the students especially in reading and writing by reviewing English grammar.

This is a course designed to develop the four basic skills in the target language, especially reading and writing skills.

Adverbs and adverbial clauses, noun forms, listening activity about bilingualism,

Week 3 - Theoretical

reading a blogpost, talking about language learning factors

Week 4 - Theoretical

Expressing yourself in an inexact way, listening about friends and rivals, sharing rough details of an experience, writing a web forum post, expressing opinion, idioms about body parts

Week 5 - Theoretical

Talking about extreme conditions, comparison, multi-word-verbs about social interaction, discussing different views on communication

Week 6 - Theoretical

Plans, intentions and arrangements, verbs of movement, listening an interview with a base jumper, reading an article about a zero gravity flight, discussing a blogpost

Week 7 - Theoretical

Giving advice, listening activity about an overstaying guest, writing a report, linking for contrast and concession, idioms of movement

Week 8 - Theoretical

Talking about travel and adventure, inversion, vocabulary on wealth and poverty, reading an article about volunteering, BBC talk on volunteerism
