Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach the fundamental concepts, threats, defense methods, and security protocols related to cyber security; and to enable students to develop strategies to protect cyber systems.

• Introduction to cyber security and basic concepts • Types of threats and classification • Authentication and authorization mechanisms • Malware and protection methods • Encryption and security protocols • Web and network security • Cyber boundaries and ethical hacking
