Objectives of the Course

The introduction of information on news writing on economic journalism among news types, the introduction of economic news reporting, which is a separate area of expertise for students, the provision of information on this type of news and its applications towards different mass media, the pioneering of general knowledge accumulation for this specialization, To describe the working order in the field of economic journalism as well as to define the ethical principles for journalism of the economy and consequently to equip the students with a viewpoint and knowledge to develop themselves with a certain sub-structure in the field of economy journalism

Course Content

With the opening of the Istanbul Stock Exchange, news about the capital market became more important and financial news was born. Magazines on economics and finance also appeared in this period. When it comes to the mid-1990s, the best-selling magazine of the country is now an economy magazine. One of the important program types in private radio and television broadcasts is economic and financial news. In fact, it is possible to mention only the channels which give importance to these issues. In all these developments, certain issues such as frequent economic crises in the country, remarkable developments in money and capital markets, changing economic policies, IMF relations, increased imports and exports, customs unions, privatization practices, foreigners' .
