The fact that media literacy is a lifelong skill that starts from early ages requires that the education to be delivered should be extended from the beginning of the school to the adult education process. For this reason, educational institutions are aimed to gain the basic behaviors necessary for children to live harmoniously with the society and to benefit from the opportunities that the society gives them.  According to a workshop on "Promoting Children's Rights in the Media" published by the International Federation of Journalists (FIJ) in 2003, It is known that more than two-thirds of the world's population is made up of children, and that only about five percent of the media have children-oriented content, which affects children's mental and physical health negatively.  Media literacy should help to educate a group of people whose values ??are related to their mental and physical health by cooperating with media programmers, journalists and other institutional structures with the aim of raising a conscious audience of readers.

All investigations made and evaluations made on them; It is necessary to raise the awareness of the children who are vulnerable to audiovisual and written media from the primary education to the media. In this way, Instead of becoming a passive buyer in the media, it will be able to read the media and reach an awareness level that will solve the language of the media and take an active role in communication.Children are represented, exhibited, stamped, or excluded from the media as a consumer object. One of the reasons is that the media has a male-dominated viewpoint. The other is that children are categorized according to the role that the dominant ideology has imposed on them. The sovereign understanding that reproduces the value judgments that provide the continuation of status quo in the media is based on good / bad social concepts that will take place in the news.
