Objectives of the Course

In this course media and consumption relation will be questioned. In this context; advertising and consumption relationship, media power to create consumption habits, the effects of advertisers on media content will be studied.

Course Content

This course will deal with topics such as Concept of Consumerist Society and its Historical Stages, Lifestyles and Media Relations, Background of the Consumerist Society in Turkey, Consumption As Popular Culture in Turkey.
