Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to evaluate policy-press relations in the context of politics, press, society and economy in the west and in our country. Within this scope our goal is to make the determinations by looking at the issues from an analytical and critical point of view.

Course Content

To examine concepts and theoretical approaches related to press and political communication. To analyze the press and political system communication in both traditional and critical perspectives. To put forward the role of political legitimacy in political communication. To analyze media influences on political speech and political discourse. To reveal the changes in political communication specializations on political campaigns, political marketing, political advertisements. To determine the elements that voters can influence on voting behavior. To put the role of civil society, civil disobedience actions, new social movements in the person's being a subject of politics.
