Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental principles of television programming, the stages of the production process, and the essentials of teamwork in a studio environment. The course offers both theoretical and practical insight into the production of non-fiction television programs from concept development to final broadcast.

Course Content

This course provides a theoretical and practical foundation in the creation of television programming. Topics include TV genres, program formats, audience analysis, script development, pre-production planning, production workflows, studio and field shooting techniques, teamwork, directing, editing, and broadcast delivery. Throughout the semester, students will collaborate in teams to design and produce original television content.

Learning Outcomes
1.Design and implement the planning, script development, shooting, editing, and broadcasting stages of television program production within a comprehensive production schedule.
2.Utilize technical equipment such as cameras, lighting, sound, and editing software to produce creative, broadcast-standard audiovisual content.
3.Analyze the structural, aesthetic, and technical characteristics of various television program genres (news, documentary, talk shows, entertainment, etc.) and develop original formats and content.
4.Critically evaluate produced television content within social, cultural, economic, and political contexts, and make improvements to the production process accordingly.
5.Apply innovative practices by integrating artificial intelligence and digital technologies into television production to enhance production efficiency.
