The aim of this course is to equip students with the skills to transform raw video and audio materials into meaningful and impactful visual narratives through the editing process. The course covers the fundamental principles, historical development, technical, and aesthetic aspects of editing and montage, enabling students to effectively use editing software and produce work that adheres to principles of rhythm and continuity. Additionally, the course aims to develop students’ ability to apply creative editing techniques in various types of projects to enhance storytelling.
Fundamental concepts of editing and montage; theoretical approaches and historical development. Video and audio editing techniques, synchronization, principles of rhythm and continuity. Basic tools in editing software, transitions, and effects. Creative editing practices and visual storytelling for various types of projects.
