The aim of this course is to improve the professional foreign language (English) skills of students studying in the field of Radio, Television and Cinema. Students will gain knowledge of basic English terminology related to media, filmmaking, television broadcasting, screenwriting, editing, camera techniques, and sectoral communication. They will also develop the ability to comprehend academic and industry-specific texts, analyze audiovisual content, and communicate effectively through presentations and discussions in a foreign language.
This course aims to improve the professional English language proficiency of students in the fields of Radio, Television, and Cinema. The course covers basic terminology related to media, broadcasting language, film genres, and production processes. Students will develop skills in reading and understanding professional texts, listening comprehension, writing short descriptions, and engaging in basic English communication related to audiovisual content. The course also serves as a foundation for the second-semester course, RTS410 Professional Foreign Language II.
