Objectives of the Course

To provide student basic economic knowledge for their further studies, to be able to make proper analyses about microeconomic cases like consumer and firm behaviours, to learn macroeconomic variables like GDP, inflation, unemployment.

Course Content

Microeconomics: Markets, the concepts of Demand and Supply, Elasticity, Market Equilibrium, Cost Analysis, Break Even Analysis Macroeconomics: Gross National Products, National Income, Economic Growth, Inflation, Unemployment, Money and Money Supply.

2.Learning to calculate the elasticity of demand and supply.
3.Introduction to cost analysis of manufacturing, learning types of markets and their structures
4.Become familiar with main macroeconomic problems and various common macroeconomic variables.
5. Will be able to analyze the relationship between regional, national and international economic developments

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
Basic concepts of microeconomics; economic, consumer, goods and services, value, production, consumption, specialization, descriptions will be made as part of the business.
Week 2 - Theoretical
What are the needs, what is the benefit to the features you need, explained the concept of total and marginal utility.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Economic systems; the capitalist economic system, the socialist economic system, with mixed economic system of economic preferences and production possibilities curve will be described.
Week 4 - Theoretical
What is the supply and demand; obtaining demand and supply curves; factors affecting supply and demand will be explained and demonstrated how the economy will consist of the balance.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Supply and demand elasticity, income elasticity and flexibility will be discussed cross.
Week 6 - Theoretical
How the formation of the consumer balance and policies associated with them: consumer surplus, producer surplus, the king's law, cobweb theorem, the minimum wage system, guaranteed pricing and financial aid system, the black market price, the base price, a reflection of tax etc. issues will be discussed.
Week 7 - Theoretical
Manufacturer balance, production maximization, cost minimization and the relationship between production and economies of scale will be discussed.
Week 8 - Intermediate Exam

Week 9 - Theoretical
Full competition market characteristics and types of imperfect competition; monopoly, oligopoly, monopoly markets will be discussed such topics as types.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Macro-economic concepts: GNP, GDP, national income, personal income and national income accounting concepts will be discussed.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Saving, Investment, will be explained the relationship between national income and public spending.
Week 12 - Theoretical
The central bank and duties of the monetary policy tools, will be explained the relationship between investment and interest.
Week 13 - Theoretical
Inflation, Deflation, stangflasyo What is, types of inflation: demand and cost inflation will be explained by.
Week 14 - Theoretical
Employment, unemployment, types of unemployment and employment policies will be discussed.
Week 15 - Theoretical
Growth, development, foreign trade, the current account deficit, budget, and income distribution will be discussed.
