Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with information about the relationship between purchasing and supply chain, the development of the concept of purchasing and its role in today's business functions.

Course Content

The location and importance of Purchasing in the Supply Chain, the elements of Central Purchasing and Supply Planning, the relationship of Purchasing with material management and Warehouse Management, work flow processes and details of Contract Management will be explained.
