Objectives of the Course

The period is to examine the history of German literature.

Course Content

the most important writers of German literature and historical periods are examined in accordance with their works.

Learning Outcomes
1.Ability to develop a way of historical consideration and to maintain a historical perspective for observation
2.Ability to comprehend, that among all the other cultural elements of a society, literature as well is an important part of its culture and that the features of historical periods are reflected in the literal texts of these periods
3.Ability to interprete literal texts in the light of historical facts.
4.Ability to divide literal developments into historical periods.
5.Ability to comprehend the lingual and literal initials of the German culture to interprete its relations with other cultures.
6.To indicate the relation of cultural, social and communal events within the history of German literature, starting from the very beginnings up to The Medieval Ages, with literature itself.
7.Ability to read the texts of the literal periods and to determine the periods they belong to
8.To comprehend the social and political life in medieval Europe by means of literature and to interprete similarities with and differences to other cultures of the same period and of later historical periods.
