Objectives of the Course

To give the ability to translate from Turkish to German.

Course Content

The aim of this course is to give the student the ability to translate from Turkish to German. Texts selected from various Turkish texts on contemporary and scientific topics and works of important writers of Turkish Literature are translated into German.

1.Ability to understand the linguistic structures used in academic texts and to make translation in accordance with acquired akademic skills.
2.Ability to analyze the cultural realities and forms of literary expression in the literary works.
3.Ability to relate ideas and concepts with an objective point of view.
4.Ability to learn difficulties in translating because of linguistic and cultural differences
5.Ability to translate a German text into Turkish.
6.Ability to have adequate professional knowledge related to language, literature, culture and translation areas to achieve to adequate criterion in professional practices.
