Objectives of the Course

To gain knowledge and skills at application level in the field of literacy teaching with special needs students based on sound and sentence method.

Course Content

Listening, speaking, visual reading and visual presentation; Definition and processes of reading and writing learning areas and the relationship between learning areas, Turkic characteristics, the effect of these properties on teaching primary and writing; The aims and principles of primary education and writing, basic characteristics of first grade teachers and students; Reasons of inefficiency and failure in primary education and writing, tools and materials used in primary education and writing teaching (features and effects, selection, creation and use of these tools); Methods applied in primary school and writing teaching (definition, characteristics, classification, applications, superiority and limitations of methods); Voice-based sentence method (definition, principles, features, steps and application), reading and writing instruction to those who are in special need in line with the steps of voice-based sentence method.
