Objectives of the Course

Teacher candidates should have basic competencies that should be possessed by the Turkish teachers in the private education.

Course Content

Activities related to reading and writing development for students with special education needs and the meaning of reading; Improving vocabulary; Teaching grammar; Writing process; Written text types; Preparing activities for written expression skills; The definition of reading skills and strategies; The application of skills and strategies in text review; The importance of individualized reading instruction: its implementation and evaluation; Critical reading; Creative writing; Reading text analysis methods; Developing listening skills; Specific reading-writing techniques / strategies in groups that need special education.
