Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to enable the students who learn the alphabet, basic vocabulary and grammar of Turkish Sign Language to communicate with the hearing impaired through this language.

Course Content

To learn the sign language used by hearing impaired individuals and to teach and to use this language when needed in social life.

Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the characteristics of Turkish Sign Language.
2.Hand and finger forms, position of hands according to body, function of mimics, use of single and double hand, sign relation with Turkic, sign express meaning original expression style, hand-body harmony face expression-message harmony, sign language using verbal language.
3.The greeting shows the necessary performance in asking questions, understanding the other side, conveying feelings and thoughts.
4.Using TID, hearing impaired individuals can communicate.
5.Knows communication needs of individuals with hearing impairment.

Single and double handed use, the relation of the signs to the Turkic Signified meaning of the original narrative form
