Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to give information about game and game types; Teaching of basic gaming skills, taking into account the development and learning characteristics of children in need of special education, and planning gaming-based activities to support different areas of development; And the provision of arrangements for the use of music in children with special needs.

Basic concepts: games and music; Definition of game and its importance; Theoretical explanations of the game; Development and characteristics of games in children: cognitive and social game development; Game development and play features in children who need special education; Teaching through games in special education; The use and adaptation of the game with children in need of special education; Game based instructional practices / activities; Developmental areas that can be supported through play; Embedding instruction into the game; Research results on effective use of the game in special education; Definition and importance of music; The development and characteristics of music; Music features of students who need special education; Teaching through music in special education; The use and adaptation of music with children in need of special education; Music based instructional practices / activities; Developmental areas that can be supported through music; Practice of burying teaching into music; Research results on the effective use of music in special education.
