Objectives of the Course

Students who take this course gain knowledge about basic skills to be taught to individuals with A.S.D.

Course Content

Teaching basic skills in the autism spectrum disorder, matching skills, categorization skills, basic imitation skills, two-step imitation skills, basic receptive language skills, two-step receptive language skills, joint attention, expressive language skills; Methods and techniques in teaching basic skills, Discrete trial training, Basic impulse control teaching, Reinforcement, Prompting, Error correction

3.Will be able to describe the basic concepts of intensive behavioral Interventions
4.Will be able to explain home based and center based applications of intensive behavioral Interventions
5.Will be able to explain application of OÇİDEP (Behavioral Training Program for Autistic Children)
6.Will be able to explain how basic matching and categorization skills are taught according to OCIDEP.
7.Will be able to explain how basic imitation skills are taught according to OCIDEP
8.Will be able to explain how to teach receptive language and play skills according to OCIDEP
