Objectives of the Course

The student who takes this course gets information about the characteristics of the individuals who are diagnosed as High-Functioning Autism and the strategies used in their education.

Course Content

Characteristics of individuals with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder; methods for teaching individuals with high-functioning autism spectrum disorders; video model teaching; peer teaching; natural teaching methods; incidental teaching, script-fading; teaching with social stories; self-management strategies; aim determination, pre-stimulation, self-monitoring, self-evaluation, self-instruction, self-reinforcement.
