Objectives of the Course

To ensure that prospective teachers examine the philosophy and content of middle school mathematics curriculum

Course Content

Basic concepts of curriculum; the development of middle school mathematics curriculum from past to present; the approach, content and skills of current secondary school mathematics curriculum; learning and sub-learning areas; distribution and boundaries of objectives for different grade levels, their relationship with other courses; the relationship of middle school mathematics curriculum with elementary and high school mathematics curriculum; methods, techniques, tools and materials used; measurement and evaluation approach; teacher qualifications.
