Objectives of the Course

This is an A1 level (Starter) course. This course’s main objective is to improve the level of the students who have just started learning English or the students who are at their beginner level. The course gives opportunities to students to improve their beginner level studying integrated skills via real life contexts. Communicative approach is also emphasized.

Course Content

This course enables students to study on basic contents of English such as giving directions, transportation, daily, weekend and holiday activities, invitation and meeting, plans for future, talking about past, abilities, travel and holiday. During the course, students meet basic grammar points such as there is/there are, simple present tense and frequency adverbs, present continuous tense, future tense, past simple tense and can/can’t.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to say where they were and what they were doing in the past, ask the other person where they were in the past, simply talk about their past, talk about the things they loved most and ask questions about childhood.
2.To be able to ask and answer questions using question tags.
3.To be able to talk about possessions and quantities.
4.To be able to offer others to eat or drink something, and asking others for doing something.
5.To be able to compare two or more objects and state their superiorities.
6.To be able to tell how long the sport activity is being done and ask others how long they have been doing an activity.
7.To be able to tell others how he/she is feeling after an occasion
