Objectives of the Course

This course aims to give the relationship between mathematics and culture.

Course Content

Mathematical and cultural history, the definition of mathematical concepts in their cultural context, mathematical thinking of different cultures, basic principles of research in the field of ethnomatematics, the relationship between mathematics and anthropology-linguistics; the importance of including ethnomatematic studies in classroom applications; design classroom mathematical activities for different cultural contexts.
