Objectives of the Course

The aim is to provide the student with information on the physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive characteristics of the child according to developmental stages, including both normal and abnormal states.

Course Content

Childhood developmental theories, factors affecting development of the child, the role of the nurse in the process of growth and development examined.

1.To be able to identify concepts related to growth and development
2.To be able to explain the factors that affect growth development
3. To be able to explain the theories according to periods of childhood growth and development
4.To be able to evaluate the childhood motor, cognitive, psychosocial, and personality development according to age periods.
5.To be aware of.child's motor, cognitive, psychosocial, personality development issues and \ or deviation from normal conditions.
