The aim of this course is to provide nursing students with essential knowledge and skills in the care of patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgery. The course focuses on understanding the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, identifying risk factors and diagnostic methods for cardiovascular diseases, learning surgical treatment approaches, and applying appropriate nursing care before and after surgery. Additionally, students will gain competence in discharge education and become familiar with current developments and technologies in cardiac and vascular surgery.
This course provides a comprehensive overview of nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgery. It covers the structure of the cardiovascular system, diagnostic and surgical treatment methods, pre- and postoperative nursing care, patient education, and discharge planning. Current technologies and surgical advancements are also included.
