Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to recognize the disadvantaged groups (women, disabled, minorities, immigrants, LGBTI+ individuals, etc.) of nursing students and to raise awareness of the role and responsibilities of nurses in the reproductive and mental health of these groups.

Course Content

In this course, issues related to reproductive and mental health problems in disadvantaged groups are included.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to explain the roles and responsibilities of nurses towards disadvantaged groups
2.To be able to define basic concepts related to disadvantaged groups
3.Being able to say what the rights of disadvantaged groups
4.Awareness of ethical problems in health services offered to disadvantaged groups
5.To be able to give an example of a country regarding the health practices carried out for disadvantaged groups
6.To be able to ready to apply nursing care for reproductive health problems in disadvantaged groups
7.To be able to ready to apply nursing care for the mental health problems of disadvantaged groups
