Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide knowledge and skills on the appropriate nursing interventions according to holistic care approach to the child with health problems.

Course Content

This course contains; nursing care of the child and family with gastrointestinal disfunction, cardiovascular disfunction, hematologic and oncologic problems, genitourinary disfunction, cerebral disfunction, endocrine disfunction and neuromuscular disfunction.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to provide support to the hospitalised child and his/her family to cope with the disease
2.To be able to obtain knowledge about health promotion according to the stages of childhood
3.To be able to explain the etiology, diagnosis, therapeutic management of health problems diagnosined with the child.
4.To be able to tell the appropriate nursing interventions in accordance with the needs of the healthy and sick child.
5.To be able to participate to nursing care of the child
6.To be able to meet the health needs of children and family in accordance with the holistic approach
