To use efficiently basic principles, concepts, functions and process of mental health and psychiatric nursing and all the information, skills and attitudes learned in this field; in holistic approach and interaction with other health disciplines; to save, maintain, and improve mental health of person, family and public; to give appropriate care to a person with mental health problem.
Focuses on preparing care plan in direction of nursing process for people with mental disorder; Treatment methods used in mental health and psychiatry field; Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Nursing Responsibilities; Emergency Cases in Psychiatry and Emergency Psychiatric Nursing; Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Nursing; Development Periods and Mental Problems and Public Mental Health Services and Nursing Profession. Students practice 8 hours a week in psychiatric clinics.
