Objectives of the Course

To be able to explain the forensic dimension of malpractice in midwifery and the legal responsibilities of midwives by understanding the basic concepts of forensic medicine.

Historical Development of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Midwifery in the World and Turkey, Working Areas and Roles of Forensic Midwifery, Professional and Legal Responsibility of Midwife in Forensic Matters, Malpractice, Medical Malpractice and Forensic Aspects, Responsibilities of Midwife in Forensic Events, Violence and Forensic Aspects

1.Explain the basic concepts related to Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
2.To be able to explain the Working Areas and Roles of Forensic Midwifery

4.To be able to count the application errors in midwifery and to comprehend the forensic dimension.
5.To be able to explain application errors in forensic cases encountered in midwifery practice
6.To know the responsibilities of the midwife in forensic cases encountered in midwifery practice
