Objectives of the Course

To gain knowledge and skills for the application of the midwifery process, which is a scientific problem-solving method that covers a systematic approach consisting of stages such as determining the care needs/problems of healthy/sick/individuals/families/groups, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating the results of the necessary midwifery interventions, using critical, systematic and holistic thinking.

Concepts Related to Midwifery, Midwifery and Its Relationship with Human-Health-Disease Concepts, Models and Theories Used in Midwifery Care, Problem Solving Method and Process in Midwifery, Stages of Midwifery Process- Data Collection / Situation Assessment / Diagnosis / Planning and Implementation, / Evaluation and Recording, Example of Midwifery Care Process: Case Studies

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to evaluate the relationship between midwifery and human-health-disease concepts
2.To be able to associate the models and theories used in midwifery care with individual care giving skills
3.To be able to define the midwifery care process and its stages
4.To be able to associate midwifery care process with scientific problem solving method
5.To be able to choose the appropriate diagnosis in the care environment, to gain critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
6.To be able to gain the knowledge and skills of giving care to healthy / sick individuals by using scientific problem solving, critical, systematic and holistic thinking with a systematic approach consisting of stages such as planning, implementing and evaluating the results of care interventions.
