Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to learn and apply psychosocial process and adaptation stages, stress and posttraumatic stress disorder after many different diseases and trauma.

Course Content

Patient and physiotherapist communication in post-accident problems, neurological diseases, geriatric persons, physically disabled and families with disabled children, visually impaired and hearing-speech impaired people.

Learning Outcomes
1.Comprehend the psychosocial process and adaptation stages after the accident.
2.Students will be able to comprehend the principles of appropriate approach to the patient in problems after stress and posttraumatic stress disorder and traumatic injuries.
3.To be able to realize rehabilitation problems in neurological diseases, progressive chronic diseases in children causing problems in children, to comprehend the principles of appropriate approach to the patient.
4.To be able to recognize rehabilitation problems in geriatric patients and to comprehend the principles of appropriate approach to the patient.
5.To be able to define the psychosocial processes of physically handicapped, families with handicapped children, visually impaired and hearing-speech impaired, to be able to consider physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices and to comprehend the appropriate approach principles to the patient.
