Objectives of the Course

To explain mechanism, types of disease, physiotherapy and rehabilitation needs? causes and treatment characteristics of rheumatic diseases to the undergraduate students of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and with showing practically to increase knowledge and skills needed by physical therapist in rheumatologic rehabilitation.

Course Content

Pathophysiology of rheumatic disease, assessment procedures and treatment approaches, preventive services, management of disease process and coping skills, recognize different rheumatic disease and necessary treatment approaches.

Learning Outcomes
1.To learn the pathopysiology of rheumatic diseases.
2.To recognize the difference between diseases and the characteristics of disease.
3.To perform assessments of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
4.To determine the need for physiotherapy and rehabilitation level, the appropriate treatment approaches and practices the application.
5.To guide patient about the necessary recommendations and preventive approaches to go on better quality of his/her life.
